What is the maximum width of each door on a bifold system?

The maximum size of a bi-fold sash will depend on the type of system being used. However for the standard Profile 22 offering we limit our sashes to 919mm.

Do you supply triple-glazing and if so, where can I find more information about it?

We do supply triple-glazing. You can contact us and request a copy of our booklet which details the features and benefits or ask your Profile 22 installer for more information.

Profile 22’s a big organisation, will I be dealing with different people all the time?

You’ll have an experienced office based Sales Co-ordinator whom you’ll deal with on a day-to-day basis and they will process your orders and advise you of delivery details. All our Sales Co-ordinators have many years of experience and know our product range inside out, so will be able to let you know if there are any discrepancies with your order. You’ll also have the services of a field-based Regional Sales Manager who will work with you to help you develop your sales and marketing strategy and help you take your company where you want it to go.

A lot of profile seems to be being shipped in from Europe these days, where is your profile extruded?

Profile 22 is extruded in Telford, Shropshire in our 150,000 sq ft factory that manufacturers under an ISO14001 Registered Environmental Management System and holds an Investors in People Gold Award.

Achieving accreditations is expensive and time consuming, how can Profile 22 help me?

Our in-house testing lab enables us to carry out a wide range of tests and simulations. This means that you can pre-test your products prior to submitting them for the expensive real tests.

If a window or door fails an accreditation test it can be time-consuming and expensive to re-test. By using our in-house facilities we can carry out the tests for you and advise you of any elements that may require changing to ensure a pass at the test house. Our test facilities include:

Weather test rig
Security test rig
Salt spray test cabinet

In addition we have two BFRC approved simulators who can advice you on the most effective way of achieving particular Window Energy Ratings and U-values.

Changing profile supplier is complicated and expensive. How will Profile 22 help me?

We have many years of experience in helping customers who are switching to Profile 22. You’ll get a single point of contact who will manage every aspect of the changeover process. We have close working relationships with all the major software suppliers and will liaise with them to ensure the process is as smooth as possible. We have field-based engineers who will work with you throughout the changeover period as well as Regional Sales Managers who will always be available to help you with any aspect of the change.

Do you sell a stick-on astragal or Georgian bar?

No, but we would recommend you purchase these from The Georgian Bar Company who have products ideally suited to Profile 22 profile.

What is the RAL number for your white profile?

The closest RAL match is 9016.

How can we achieve an A rated window using Profile 22?

At Profile 22, we know it can seem complicated and be expensive to achieve the Window Energy Ratings you require. That’s why we’ve developed a unique tool, verified by CERTASS, FENSA and BSI, to enable our customers to certify ANY compliant window or door. U-Comply is not only easy to use, but also greatly reduces the cost to our fabricators.

The U-Comply calculator allows you to demonstrate compliance on any number of window and door specifications. As well as eliminating the significant costs involved in testing different specifications of windows and doors, you can also use U-Comply to demonstrate compliance with the new regulations. U-Comply has been independently audited and approved by CERTASS, FENSA and BSI, and allows fabricators to show compliance with Document ‘L’ using either U-values or Window Energy Ratings.

Using the web-based calculator, you can input any combination of framing and reinforcement components and glass specification and receive a verified WER or U-value for it.
